The story of a 190 years old skeleton

This is based on a true story;

A 17-year old guy (let us call him A) has gotten his heart broken by his girlfriend (let us call her B)......
After the breakup, he was enraged when he saw his ex-girlfriend walking with a new guy, so he threw a pebble at her.

Due to the wound inflicted by A, B undergoes a minor surgery, and was pronounced dead 7 days later, caused by the growth of an abscess.
The doctor who did the surgery on her (let us call him Dr. C), testified at court, saying that A was at fault for B's death.

However, to be frank, I think that A should not be the only one to be found guilty.
Dr. C has his fair share of fault in this incident.
Regardless of my personal opinion, A was persecuted anyway.

After A's death, Dr. C took A's body, dissected it, and turned his skin into book cover.
This had made my earlier opinion on Dr. C seems more valid.
Who, in his right mind, will do something as cruel as that?

A 190 years later, which was few weeks ago, a skeleton with the noose still around his neck (picture above,above,above...), believed (and proven) to be A, was found inside a cupboard at the University of Bristol.
So, I wonder if Dr. C has kept A inside the cupboard, and had totally forgotten about it.

A....finally, R.I.P.

Moral of the story:
Do not throw a pebble at your ex-partner. You might end up being a skeleton in a cupboard (and only be found 200 years later).

Cheers!

Ei, what made you think so that 'A should not be the only one to be found guilty.
Dr. C has his fair share of fault in this incident.' ? I don't get it.

May I know the original link? :P

And just with a pebble?!

Arms, I read this from Epigram, which is our university independent newspaper. Their on-line website: http://www.epigram.org.uk/

However, don't put your hope high on it, cause it seems like the on-line website hasn't been updated for a few months now...I read the paper :)

Anyway, I'm saying that A is not entirely guilty, because he threw a pebble at B, and B was wounded. So you see, B went for a surgery....and the aftermath of the surgery is infection.

This infection could be from the wound, and, could also be from the surgery itself. The infection could be prevented if a doctor use sterile equipment, and etc. for the surgery, yeah? I mean, the death of B could be prevented if the doctor, is a good doctor.

I don't know. I'm just saying. The medical equipments and methods 190 years ago could be way different than now. So, my ideas could be invalid or so.

Plus, if the doctor, is a good doctor, why would he wanted to take the body of A, and did a public dissection on him? He's a doctor, for God sake. Can't he just leave the deceased alone? Not enough with the dissection, he skinned A, and made it into book cover.

Even if A was proven guilty for this, the fact that he didn't received a proper burial until a 190 years later, somehow, pissed me off. So...I might be a bit biased in giving my opinion here :)

Is it really a true story? I mean, wow, I never thought there would be this kind of story in reality. Hehe. It's eerie. But there's a lesson we can take from the story. A man shouldn't hurt his ex-gf even if she dated other guy. She's a girl and they've broken up anyway, so it's her right to seeing anyone. It still happens nowadays. When the girl is going out with someone else, the ex-boyfriend will be angry and hurt the girl. It's unfair. So, in this case, serve him right. The A should be dead dreadfully.

aemy...haha...wow, that's pretty harsh on him... but yeah, he was wrong for throwing the pebble at her....maybe they have their reasons....we are only spectators.

however, he was punished enough with the death sentence...i don't think that anyone else has the right to treat his corpse the way dr. c did, yeah?

oh, n btw..it is a true story. university of bristol is where i'm studying currently :)
