Bible's help when we are Angry

Matthew 5:22-24,

But now I tell you; if you are angry with your brother you will be brought to trial, if you call your brother ‘You good-for-nothing!’, you will be brought to the Council, and if you call your brother a worthless fool, you will be in danger of going to the fire of hell

So, if you are about to offer your gift to God at the altar and there you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar, go at once and make peace with your brother, and then come back and offer your gift to God.

Romans 12:10-21,

Love one another warmly as Christians, and be eager to show respect for another. Work hard and do not be lazy. Serve the Lord with a heart full of devotion. Let your hope keep you joyful, be patient in your troubles, and pray at all times. Share your belongings with your needy fellow Christians, and open your homes to strangers.

Ask God to bless those who persecute you – yes, ask him to bless, not to curse. Be happy with those who are happy, weep with those who weep. Have the same concern for everyone. Do not be proud, but accept humble duties. Do not think of yourselves as wise.

If someone has done you wrong, do not repay him with a wrong. Try to do what everyone considers to be good. Do everything possible on your part to live in peace with everybody. Never take revenge, my friends, but let God’s anger do it. For the scripture says, “I will take revenge, I will pay back, says the Lord.”

Instead, as the scripture says: “If your enemies are hungry, feed them; if they are thirsty, give them a drink; for by doing this you will make them burn with shame.

Ephesians 4:26, 31-32,

If you become angry, do not let your anger lead you into sin, and do not stay angry all day.

Get rid of all bitterness, passion, and anger. No more shouting or insults, no more hateful feelings of any sort. Instead, be kind and tenderhearted to one another, and forgive one another, as God has forgive you through Christ.

James 1:19-20

Remember this, my dear friends! Everyone must be quick to listen, but slow to speak, and slow to become angry. Human anger does not achieve God’s righteous purpose.

Be blessed, people!
